After a slew of dismally unsuccessful Quick Draws, today I think I had a little breakthrough! I actually like it. Theme: "The Tree of Life" suggested by my boss-man, Rob.
This one is my favorite Laura! I'm gonna tell you again--you should send this in to the ensign and get them to pay you a lot of money for it. It's worth it. You're worth it.
So, i was under the impression that we were to draw a tree, not an octopus. Anyways, i agree that this is the most successful quickdraw you have had. It does help to do a value drawing without color, and then move onto color when you are ready. "baby steps"! nice work though....i guess :)

Yours looks great Laura. The less like a tree that I've seen the better in my book. Good work.
I need you to teach me about the different brushes in photoshop sometime.
Laura, it's beautiful. I would hang this on my wall. And I never hang anything on my wall.
I clicked on it for the full-sized version and it sort of took my breath away (just a little bit of breath, but it was definitely taken).
Also, it's now my desktop background.
